Jose G. Gonzalez

Jose G. Gonzalez Sr. 57, born on August 24, 1957 entered his field of dreams on January 29, 2015. He was reunited with his loving parents, Narciso and Juana V. Gonzalez and his sister, Carmen Gonzalez in the Kingdom of Heaven. Joe dedicated his life to his wife and children. He is survived by his loving wife Maximiliana Gonzalez; children: JoAna and Jose (JoJo) Gonzalez; stepdaughters: Ana Catarino and Monica (Oscar) Escareno; and 8 grandchildren. Joe also leaves behind his brothers and sisters: Teresa Romero, Narciso (Ceci) Gonzalez, Ramon Gonzalez, Marta Gonzalez, Martin (Sylvia) Gonzalez, Elvira Robles, Ruben (Angelica) Gonzalez, and Willie (Sylvia) Gonzalez; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Joe was known as “Coach” to many and he knew how to brighten up any room with his sense of humor. Joe had a passion for baseball; always adding a little flavor to the games with his sayings, “Do It” and “Come on Down.” The Gonzalez Family would like to thank Joe’s co-workers from the Operations Department at EPISD and also the wonderful staff at Providence Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Homes East, 750 N. Carolina. Rosary at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Febraury 3, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Internment will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
