Jose Lara, 61, entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2026 in El Paso, TX. Jose is preceded in death by his mother, Elvira Lara and nephew, Hector Martin Hernandez, Jr. He is survived by his loving sons, Joseph Lara and Dakota Lara. Father, Trinidad Lara; Brother, Juan Lara and Roberto Lara; sister, Gloria Lara. Jose also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild who will honor and cherish his memory. Jose was very loved and will always be missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 N. Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. Funeral Mass Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 12:30pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, El Paso, TX 79927. Burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
