Jose “Efrain” Ochoa, 85, of El Paso, TX, peacefully died on November 25, 2018.
Efrain is survived by his wife Maria Elena of 57 years, and his six sons Joe Ochoa, Albert Ochoa, Rene Ochoa, Victor Ochoa, Jesus Ochoa, and Angel Ochoa. His parents were Francisco Ochoa and Margarita “Titi” Sandoval. He had 17 loving grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
Efrain left school at an early age to help provide for his family of three brothers and three sisters and worked with his father building rock walls throughout El Paso. He sustained a home for all of us and managed to help raise a family of successful sons.
Efrain was a hard-working father and friend to all. Efrain worked loading denim into trucks for thirty years at Farah Manufacturing until he was forced to stop due to mounting injuries. At home, he enjoyed helping others while they worked on small home projects and played kickball with his grandchildren for as long as they wanted. Lately, he also enjoyed watching “novelas” on high volume and sleeping through much of each show.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 30, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
