On the morning of December 10, 2023, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, SSGT Joseph “Joe” Mucha, passed away from natural causes at the age of 88. Joe was born in Williamstown, Pennsylvania on April 19, 1935. He was the youngest of nine children born to Elizabeth and John Mucha. In 1958, he married his one true love, Marilyn, his wife of 56 years. He started his 20-year career at Biggs AFB and retired at Dover AFB. They returned to El Paso, TX to raise their four children and where he lived for the last 49 years. Joe is survived by his four children, Joseph Mucha, Elizabeth Montgomery, Michael Mucha, and Steven Mucha. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Committal Service will held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors (Date is Pending)
