Joshua David Lopez

Joshua David Lopez, 33, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2026.

Josh was the first-born son of Carmen Tellez and the loving father of Camila Rose Isabel Lopez.

Josh was known to everyone by his infectious laugh — the kind that pulled you in until you couldn’t help but laugh right along with him. He loved music and playing guitar, and he was often found with something to eat in hand. Josh never wore his emotions on his sleeve. Those who knew him personally, knew that he had a kind heart and would always try and help anyone - in any walk of life. He would always give what he could.

At any given gathering, Josh would humbly acknowledge you and give you a warm hug. He will be remembered by most as someone who never stopped searching for that calling that some of us are blessed to find during our lifetime. God has called him home and he is no longer searching. His weary soul has found its permanent peace.

Josh is survived by his daughter, Camila Rose Isabel Lopez; his mother, Carmen Tellez; his stepfather, James A. Martinez; his father, David Lopez; his brothers, Joel Issac Martinez, Joaquin James Francisco Martinez and Percy James Benjamin Martinez and now finds eternal rest alongside his brother Diego Ivan Benjamin Martinez.

Joshua will be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and especially his Grandmother, Maria Tellez who loved him unconditionally.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, at St. Luke Catholic Church. The Inurnment will follow at 11:30 am, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
