Juan Manuel Esparza

February 2, 1950 — August 8, 2015

With great sadness, his family announces the passing of Juan Manuel Esparza, 65, on August 8th, 2015 near his home in Washington, Georgia. A native of El Paso, he has returned home for the final time. Juan served in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he was injured. With the devoted help of his mother, he recovered. After moving to California, he began working for the US Postal Service, eventually retiring in 2004 holding the position of Postmaster of Yorba Linda, CA. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Lorenza; brother Ricardo; and nephew Stephen Borjon. He leaves behind his wife Sharon and daughter Gaby of Georgia; sons Ezar, Eris, Eron and Esai of California; father Margarito and sister Margarita Simental of El Paso; grandsons Parker and Cooper; sister-in-law Lupe; nieces Indra Worch, Erin Connon, and Veronica Borjon; nephew Jose Borjon; and many loving cousins who were like siblings. Juan was a master gardener, specializing in maples. He loved to travel. Bargain hunting was a passion, as was spending time with his four dogs. Family was everything to Juan, and he is now home here in El Paso, as well as in his eternal home with our Lord.
