Juan R. R. Saenz, 81, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016, surrounded by his wife, children, and loved ones. Juan was born in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico on April 9, 1934, and married Elisa Bernal on December 14, 1955 in Reynosa, Tamps. Mexico. His 21-year service in the U.S. Army, specifically in Air Defense, took Juan, Elisa and their two children, Rudy and Tessie, overseas for over ten years. Juan’s dedication to his military career was outstanding and his dedication to his family even more so. He left a mark on all those he he met and touched, - he was a true and dedicated husband, father and TOP. Juan is survived by his wife Elisa of 60 years; his son Rudy (Aida), daughter Tessie (Marcos); and grandchildren Diego, Raixa, Indira, and Aida, as well as by siblings Emilio Saenz and Irma Reyna Saenz. Juan aka Gordo, Francis, Sanchez, Pancho, was the best husband, father, friend that we all had,- irreplaceable and will be forever missed. Catholic services will be at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa, 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 18th with Full Military Honors immediately following at 11:30 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, Texas. Services entrusted by Sunset Funeral Home-East.
