Juanita Marie Maese, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. Born in Fresno, California, on November 17, 1944, Juanita grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, before following her brother to El Paso. There, she met and later married Manuel A. Maese Sr. in 1969. Throughout her life, she found joy in cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, dancing, and singing. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Laurencio M. and Juanita M. Guerrero, as well as her daughters, Elvira Maese Adamson and Elisa Maese, and her son, Manuel A. Maese Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Manuel A. Maese, her son, David Maese, and her daughters, Patricia Lea and Elaine Gonzalez. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 PM, Friday, April 10, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 408 Park. Interment twill follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
