Juanita R. Medina

Juanita R. Medina, 76, completed her life journey on March 21, 2016. She is now reunited with her daddy, Manuel Rodriguez; her mommy, Maria Rodriguez; and her baby girl, Leticia Medina. She is survived by her siblings Antonio Rodriguez, Estela Orozco, and Lupe Fernandez; her former spouse, Josue Medina Jr.; her children: Norma Alarcon, Rene (Estela) Medina, Samuel (Elka) Medina, and Patricia Medina; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and countless nephews, nieces, and friends who will miss her laughter and positive outlook on life. Juanita enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was very active in the community where she lived. She attended Santa Lucia Church where she sang in the choir. She was a giving, loving person who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Vigil/Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Santa Lucia Catholic Church, 518 Gallagher. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
