Julia Ann Soto

JULIA ANN SOTO, 79 passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a member of Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo (YDSP). Mrs. Soto retired as a Director of YDSP Tribal Elders Program and worked many years as a Region 19 HeadStart teacher. She is survived by her husband, Victor Montanez, and children, Yolie Torres, Patsy Gonzales, Liza Estrada, and Isaac Soto Jr. 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.   Sisters: Teresa Gonzales and Maria Gloria Cruz.  Preceded in death by her parents: Antonio G. Cruz and Julia C. Cruz.  Brothers: Antonio Cruz, Rodolfo Cruz, Ricardo Cruz, Fernando Toro.  

Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2024, from 4:00PM To 8:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 N. Loop Dr.  Rosary will be held Friday, May 24, at 6:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 25, at 10:00AM At Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Mission, 131 S. Zaragoza Rd.  Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Pallbearers: Ruben Carrillo Jr, Tim Carrillo, Bernie Gonzales, Jesse Torres, Gino Torres, Jacob Estrada, Logan Soto, Rudy Cruz Jr.  Honorary Pallbearer: Henry Alonso.
