Kathleen A. Belvin

Kathleen A. Belvin, 76 years old, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Kathleen was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She married her wonderful husband Laurence Belvin. She loved being with mom and dad being able to talk to her mom for many hours. She loved her married life with her husband and her two sons; Tony Ray Belvin from Dallas, TX and, Laurence Neal Belvin Jr. from El Paso, TX. They were the joy of her life. She loved to sit in a rocking chair and look at the sunshine and always planted a garden to have fresh vegetable to eat. She loved cooking, fishing and the lake. She also liked bowling with friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lafern Bessie Belvin, sisters; Minnie Older, Ida B. Rye and Junior Rye. She is survived by brothers; Cleveland Rye, Albert (Bubby Dee) Rye. She leaves behind her husband Laurence N. Belvin of 51 years of marriage and her two sons; Tony Ray and Laurence Neal Jr. She is also survived by her sister Ada B. Williams two grandsons; Sharod Stafford Belvin, Devon Shannon Belvin, four great-great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at McCombs Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
