Lawrence "Larry" Patrick Conners passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 82.
Born on January 8, 1943, in Marfa, Texas, Larry lived a life defined by dedication, kindness, and service. In his younger years, he answered the call to serve his country during the Vietnam War, carrying out his duty with courage and quiet strength. Though he never spoke much about his service, those who knew him understood the depth of his sacrifice and the pride he quietly carried. After returning home, Larry became a well-respected electrician, known throughout his community for his hard work, reliability, and helping spirit.
Larry was the last surviving member of the original Conners family of Marfa. He was welcomed into eternal rest by his parents, John F. and Frances M. Conners; his five brothers—John C., Eddie, James, Mike, and Ernest; and his two sisters—Francis “Sissy” Garcia and Dorothy Conners.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry his memory: daughters Diane, Arlene, and Andrea (Gustavo) grandchildren Danna Rae Macias, Jerram Rojo, Brianna (Havier) Vargas, Raelynn Macias, Marisa Hernandez, and Sofia Guzman; great grandchildren Jace and Javon Rojo, Amaris and Anayah Vargas; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Larry’s presence, wisdom, and quiet strength will live on in each of them.
The family is deeply grateful for the kind words, prayers, and support shared during this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Larry’s life.
“Forever in our hearts, gone but not forgotten.”
May his memory be a source of comfort and peace to all who knew and loved him.
We love you Dad!
