Lee Hurst Rogers, Sr.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 71 years Marian Glasgow Rogers. Lee and Marian are the proud parents of four children, Barbara Rogers Rowe (Daniel), Lee Hurst Rogers, Jr, Linda Rogers Fite (Frank) and Dorothy Rogers Keeble (John). They have 6 grandchildren, Elaine Rowe Nelson, Claire Rowe Hammond, Angela Rowe Luttrell, Trey Armstrong Rogers (deceased), Frank E. Fite II, Kevin B. Fite and Cody Lee Keeble and 17 great grandchildren.
Mr. Rogers served in the US Navy stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. After serving his country Mr. Rogers attended the University of South Carolina. He graduated in 1950 with a BS degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation from USC Mr. Rogers went to work for Belk Brothers Department store as a Merchandise Manger, he then continue his career with Pennington Manufacturing company. Mr. Rogers was a long time resident of Columbia South Carolina where he was a deacon at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church. Upon his retirement he and Marian moved to El Paso Texas to be near their children. Mr. Rogers was also a member of the American Legion of El Paso. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 7:00PM to 8:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home West. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 2:30PM at Ft.
