Lilia Elizabeth Thompson

Lilia Elizabeth Thompson, 51 born May 7, 1964 in Monterrey, Mexico. Passed away on December 31, 2015 in Houston, Texas, although El Paso is her home. Lilia was a loving and dedicated mother who always wanted her children to succeed in life and showed them how through hard work and discipline. She was always willing to lend a hand and was extremely proud of her heritage, language, and roots. She never surrendered and was a warrior with a big heart. Lilia is preceded in death by her parents Lilia and Manuel Rios. She is survived by her daughters: Brisa (Michael) Zimprich, Denise Thompson (Jose), and Chantell Thompson (Chris); grandchildren: Chloe E. Bernard and Jonas C. Banda; sisters: Yazmin Renteria, Rosa Rios, and Araceli Diaz. A Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler, El Paso, TX 79912. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, TX 79932.
