Lily Urquidi Rodriguez

Lily Urquidi Rodriguez, 91, died peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of Guadalupe and Theresa Urquidi. She attended Bowie High School and married her one and only true love, Oscar Hevia Rodriguez on May 11, 1942. A devoted wife and mother she dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed traveling, reading, and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her brothers Salvador and Guadalupe and her sisters Leonor, Tula, Mary, and Theresa. She is survived by her sister Adelina Pacheco, her three sons, Oscar, Johnny, and Robert Rodriguez, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass: 12:00pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark Drive. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
