Linda Carrol Taylor

Born on December 30, 1957 in Glendale, CA to Judith and Derrick Drenten, Linda was the oldest of 3 girls. She moved around as a child, with her father in the military, before the family finally settled in El Paso, TX where she graduated from Parkland High School.

Linda married Michael Taylor in 1985 and was an amazing and loving mother to her three daughters, Jamie Taylor (1985), Christine Taylor (1987), and Heidi Taylor (1990-2025). She was the best Nana to 8 wonderful grandchildren – Antonio Gomez, Rudy Gomez, Chris Gomez, Hailey Peterson, Beatriz Gomez, Kaitlyn Rivera, Sionis Barnes, and Peyton Valleieres. Linda spent 26 years serving her community as a Special Education teacher, starting her journey at Whitaker Elementary and retiring in 2025 from Burgess High School.

Though we miss her here, we know that she was welcomed into God’s kingdom by her father, Derrick Drenten, her mother Judith Shreve, her daughter Heidi Taylor, and her 3 grandchildren, Peter, Elijah, and Isaac.

We know that one day, we too, shall see you again. We love you, and we miss you
