Lois Daw

Our beloved Lois B. Daw passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at

the age of 90.

Lois was born in Wallace, Idaho, on December 9, 1935, and was raised in Bisbee, Arizona. She graduated from Bisbee High School before coming to El Paso to attend El Paso Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing education and became an RN. It was while attending nursing school in El Paso that Lois met her husband, Jimmie. They married on February 8, 1958, and shared 62 years together until his passing in December 2020. Lois briefly worked as an RN at Tucson General Hospital. After marrying and starting her family, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her husband and raising their children. She made her home and family her greatest priority. Lois was a wonderful cook who loved preparing meals for her family and bringing everyone together around the table. She also treasured the time she spent babysitting and caring for her grandchildren and loved watching them grow.

Lois was a lifelong learner of the Bible and participated in several Bible studies throughout the years. She also volunteered at the various schools her children and grandchildren attended. El Paso became her lifelong home, where she built a life centered around her family, her faith, and the people she loved.

Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death byher parents, Nick and Louise Elisoff; her beloved husband, Jimmie Daw; and her brother, David Elisoff.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Daw; son, Jimmie Daw Jr. (Valerie); daughter, Barbara Daw; daughter, Carol Brewster (Allen); daughter, Joann Daw; son, Paul Daw(Monica); and her grandchildren, Jerrett (Jenilee), Reed, Danielle, Jamille, Sean, Ali, Noah(Kiara), Seth, and Jocelyn and three great grandchildren, Wade, Zayn, and Matthew.

Our family would love to thank the staff at Pegasus Landing of El Paso for taking care of both of our parents, and Three Oaks Hospice for all the great care they gave our Mom.

A funeral service will be held for Lois on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Family Ministries, 6301 Alabama Street. Burial will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
