In Loving Memory of Lois Strong
Lois Strong, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, will be remembered for her deep faith, generous spirit, and boundless love for her family and community.
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Lois was the daughter of the late Irece Hunter and Henry Reason. Military life took her to places near and far, but Texas was always home. El Paso remained the place where she built lasting friendships, served others, and created a lifetime of cherished memories with the people she loved.
Lois shared 57 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jerry Strong Sr. Together, they built a family grounded in faith, strength, and love. She is survived by Jerry and their three children, Ronette Strong, Jerry Strong Jr., and Nakia Evans. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Desiree Strong, Cashe Ervine, Jerry Strong III, Xavier Evans, and Soraya Evans; two great-grandchildren, Zavien Strong and Cassius Huntsberry; and her sister, Henrietta Reason.
Her faith in the Lord guided the way she lived. Lois was an active member of the Gospel Services at Fort Bliss, where she lifted her voice in the choir and became a founding member of the Unique Ladies. Her church family held a special place in her heart, giving her another community in which to worship, serve, and share her gifts.
Lois also found great joy and fellowship at the bowling alley. For more than 40 years, she participated in the Desert Strike Lanes Bowling League and in various leagues throughout El Paso. What began as a pastime became a lasting part of her life, bringing her countless friendships, laughter, and memories.
Her commitment to service extended to the El Paso United Lions Club, where she served as both treasurer and secretary. Lois could always be counted on. She gave her time freely, served with care, and brought warmth and kindness wherever she went.
Lois was loved by all who knew her. She had a way of making both friends and strangers feel seen and welcome. Her strength was rooted in her faith, her happiness was found in her family, and her joy grew through service to her community.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness, Lois’s love remains in the family she treasured, the friendships she nurtured, and the many lives she touched. Her beautiful spirit, faithful heart, and example of kindness will continue to guide those who were blessed to know her.
Lois Strong leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, service, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Love the lord, your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength
