With unimaginable heartbreak, we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Magdalena “Maggie” Martinez, who left this world on December 17, 2025. Born on December 27, 1967, to Baltazar and Maria “Suki” De La Rosa, who cherished her deeply and helped shape the strong, caring woman she became. Maggie was love in its purest form selfless, fierce, and endlessly devoted to her family.
Maggie was the heart and soul of our little family. She was our protector, our safe place, and our greatest blessing. Her love knew no limits, and she gave every piece of herself to her children and grandchildren without hesitation.
As her children, Desiree Nicole Martinez and Kristen Sarai Martinez, there are no words that can fully express the pain of living in a world without her. She was our biggest cheerleader, our comfort on the hardest days, and the one person who could make everything feel okay. Losing her has left a void that can never be filled, but her love will continue to guide us every day.
Maggie was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jayce King Loya and Alexiana Jae Loya, who brought her endless joy and purpose. Her love for them was boundless, and she poured her heart into every moment she shared with them.
Maggie’s strength, warmth, and unconditional love will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her. Though our hearts are shattered, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, watching over us with the same love she gave so freely in life.
Maggie devoted more than 20 years of her life to serving the Ysleta Independent School District as a dedicated educator and counselor. She approached her work with deep compassion, patience, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every student. Maggie was more than a teacher and counselor she was a mentor, an advocate, and a steady source of encouragement for countless young people and families. Her guidance helped shape futures, and her impact will continue to be felt in the lives of those she inspired for years to come.
Maggie was preceded in death by her beloved father, Baltazar De La Rosa. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Desiree and Sarai; her treasured grandchildren, Alexiana and Jayce; her loving mother, Suki De La Rosa; her dear sister, Sylvia Graves; and her devoted partner, Andy Sanchez, whose love and companionship brought her comfort, laughter, and happiness. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Maggie’s greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion that will live on through all who knew her.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Until we meet again.
