In Loving Memory of Manuel Antonio Maese Sr.
October 11, 1943 - May 3, 2026
Manuel Antonio Maese Sr., 82, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. Born in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, on October 11, 1943, Manuel grew up in El Paso, Texas, following his parents and siblings there. There, he met and later married Juanita Marie Guerrero in 1969. Throughout his life, he found joy in collecting old-school comics and posters, enjoyed sci-fi space and cowboy movies, and loved astronomy, as he would have loved to explore space. He loved taking pictures, recording home movies, sketching, drawing, and painting canvases. One of his favorite family memories is of Sunday afternoons, when he would set up his old projector in the backyard, invite neighbors over, and serve homemade popcorn. Laughter echoed as Manuel narrated the funny parts of the films and cheered when children danced in the flickering light of the movies he loved to share.
Manuel is now reunited with his beloved wife, Juanita Marie Guerrero Maese, and his parents, Gilberto Maese and Maria Guadalupe Rodriquez Maese, his brothers, Johnny Maese and Jose Maese, his daughters, Elvira Maese Adamson and Elisa Maese, and his son, Manuel Antonio Maese Jr.
He is survived by his son, David Maese, and his daughters, Patricia Maese Lea and Elaine Maese Gonzalez. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to friends and loved ones for their support and condolences during this difficult time. Your kindness and presence have been a source of comfort and unity.
