In Loving Memory of Manny Pedregon Jr.
Manny Pedregon Jr., 74 peacefully entered eternal rest on August 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family & friends. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Manny would live a life of service, faith, and unwavering love for those around him.
Manny was a lifelong resident and devoted member of the El Paso, Texas community, where he grew up to become a prominent electrical contractor with over 60 years of dedicated service in the industry and served on the electrical board from 1982-1986.
A proud graduate of the Austin High School Class of 1969, Manny’s roots in the community ran deep. He played Little League baseball in his youth, sparking a lifelong love of the sport. Later in life, he answered the call to serve his country as a United States Marine.
Manny’s strong faith and commitment to service led him to become a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He was an active and respected member of St. Raphael Council 7563, where he held leadership roles as both Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight, and 4th Degree District Deputy. One of his proudest moments was being a member of the 1987 Knights of Columbus Drill team which was awarded 1st place in the state of Texas. He also served faithfully in the St. Raphael Catholic Community youth ministry, guiding young people in their spiritual journey. Manny was also an ACTS brother who served on both Spanish and English teams.
His love for his community extended beyond his church. Manny volunteered countless hours with the Eastwood Optimist organization as a baseball coach and commissioner. For many summers, he poured his heart into mentoring and coaching the youth of the Eastwood area, helping them grow not only as athletes but as individuals—especially in the sport he loved most. (Go Yankees!)
Manny deeply cherished his family and dedicated much of his time supporting his children—whether at games, practices, school events, family outings, or vacations. He firmly believed in the values of God first, family second, and everything else came after, a principle he lived by and passed down to those around him. Sundays were sacred in his household, marked by attending church, sharing breakfast together, and taking long car rides to visit extended family.
Manny and his beloved “Honey,” Sylvia, shared many adventures together—from cheering on his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys and traveling to Las Vegas, New Orleans, Dallas, and California, to enjoying simple, quiet getaways. Their time together was filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for each other’s company.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ofelia and Manuel Pedregon Sr., and his sister, Priscilla Pedregon.
Manny is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Sylvia Pedregon; his loving children: Lisa Pedregon (Jessie Chavira), Manny Pedregon III (Virginia), Marc Pedregon, and Oscar Pedregon (Celina); his cherished granddaughters: Lauryn Pedregon, Makayla Pedregon, Madelyn Pedregon, his step grandsons Agustin Chavira, Beto Chavira; and his dear siblings: Albert Pedregon (Patricia), Armida Pedregon, and Michael Pedregon (Sonia). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, with a Holy Rosary at 6:30pm at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, TX 79925. --Prayer To St. Jude For Eternal Life—
You give me hope, St. Jude, in the face of loss and sorrow. I pray that you will guide all souls to the light of Christ. May the hope that you offer be a source of comfort to all those who grieve. For in that hope and through our faith, we experience God’s tender mercy and trust His promise of eternal life. Stay by my side St. Jude, so that I may always rely on your care for me. +Amen.
Manny’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on through all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
