Manuel Puente

Manuel “Smiley” Puente Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on Tuesday October 21, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Ana C. Puente; son’s: Manuel Puente Jr. and his wife Caroline B. Puente, Ricardo A. Puente; daughter’s: Ana L. Puente and Sylvia E. Weaver; grandchildren: Nicholas R. Puente, Angela R. Weaver, Jacob M. Puente, Matthew R. Weaver and Samantha R. Weaver; great grandchildren: Sergio L. Baez Jr., Izabell M. Baez, Mia I. Puente and Derik C. Bustamante; sister, Eusebia Cornejo; brother, Antonio Dunez; brother-in-law, Jesus Castillo; and nephews and nieces. Manuel retired from the Air Force after 20 years, retired from civil service and provided 17 years to the El Paso and Ysleta ISD as a substitute teacher. Visitation will be from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
