It is with a heavy heart that the family of Manuel Jesus Vasquez Sr. announces the passing of beloved father and grandfather on August 15, 2025 at the age of 65. Surrounded by his children and other family members at Sierra Medical Hospital due to multiple underlying conditions.
He is survived by his sons Manuel Jesus Vasquez Jr., Jose Antonio Vasquez, Emmanuel David Vasquez, an Danyael Esteban Vasquez. Daughters Jennifer Lorenza Supernault, Carmen Xoechilt Dieguez. As well as 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 6 siblings, and too many niece's and nephews to count ( his words) and the many friends that he made along his life's journey.
He was born in El Paso, TX on December 23, 1959. Manuel later moved to Artiesa, NM to live with family until finally coming back to El Paso, TX. At the age of 20 he enlisted in the United States Army as a tank driver, completing his 4 years 1979-1982 and obtaining the rank of E-5. He later worked at Vista Hills Country Club as a mechanic for several years till moving to Underwood Golf Complex. While there he learned all he could and steadily moved up till he was promoted to Golf Course Superintendent. However it never stopped him from getting his hands dirty and being down in the ground with coworkers. He later retired from Underwood Golf Complex in 2024, but they could not let him go and rehired him as an irrigation technician.
Manuel loved to ride his motorcycle as much as he could and whenever he could. He also had a good heart for helping out family/friends no mater if it was building a room, putting tile, cement, or working on your car, he gave that helping hand when he was able to. He also loved to go out and dance the night away.
We would like for friends and family to come out and show your respect for Manuel Jesus Vasquez Sr. on August 28th @ 5pm to 8pm at Sunset Funeral Home located at 4631 Hondo Pass Dr El Paso, TX 79904, at 6pm there will be a rosary service. Though we have lost a great father, grandfather, friend we must always remember that this is not the end or goodbye, this is simply till next time. As Jhon 14 1-3 says " Let your heart not be trouble; you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's home are many mansions if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you Myself; That where I am, there you may also be."
