Manuela was born on May 30, 1934 in El Cobre, Chihuahua, Mex, to Jose Maria and Manuela Garcia. She married Juan Flores on Oct 25, 1961 in El Porvenir Chihuahua, Mex. They were blessed with 5 children Ricardo, Francisco, Rodolfo, Israel, and Ruth. In 1973, the family move from Mexico to the United States and called El Paso, TX their new home. Her children remember her as a woman of faith, who loved to serve her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They also remember how she lovingly and tirelessly made sure that her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were provided for anytime they were at her house. No one could make asado or chile colorado like Wuela.
Manuela was a woman who impacted the lives of many beyond her education and resources. She made people laugh with her witty comments as well as at ease with her outgoing personality. Her house was always open to family and friends who needed a place to stay for a few hours or a few months. She took care of countless family members when they were sick nurturing many back to health. But above all, she was an individual who was passionate about sharing her love and faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with whoever crossed her path. She was an active and dedicated member of Templo Sion (now Zion Christian Center) where she would faithfully attend every service and serve the church and its people with love.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Christian Center located at 1145 N Zaragoza Rd on the evening of Oct 27, 2017 at 7 P.M. and the morning of Oct 28, 2017 at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery East located at 12400 Montana. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Manuela’s life. The family would like to thank the many people who visited, shared a word of encouragement, or a meal with the family. We are especially grateful for the prayers offered to our Heavenly Father on behalf of Manuela and the family, for they have been a source of strength, hope, and Peace through this difficult time.
