Marco A. Lopez

Marco Lopez died peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by family at his bedside. He was a blessing to those who loved him for 63 years.

Marco was born on June 23, 1963, in Los Angeles to Luis and Alicia Lopez.

Marco marched to the beat of a different drummer. He lived life with gusto and always on his own terms. He was a joy to be around and could tell the most interesting and amusing stories.

Marco loved riding his motorcycle on the winding roads in and around Ruidoso. His bike provided solitude, freedom, and rejuvenation for his soul.

Marco demonstrated his unwavering love and devotion to his parents by serving as their caregiver during the final years of their lives.

Marco is survived by, and will be forever missed and cherished by, his wife, Lara; his children, Joshua, Ashley, and Brandon; and his grandson, Ezekiel. He is also survived by his siblings, Sylvia (Armando), Ricardo (Deborah), Fernando, and Delia (Jeff), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His beloved family pets, Buddy, Emma, and Lilly, will also miss his many hugs, playtime, and treats.

Marco was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Alicia Lopez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Road, El Paso, Texas 79925.
