Margarita Lopez Jaime

In Loving Memory of Margarita Lopez Jaime, 93. Margarita entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 6, 2026. While her family grieves the loss of this extraordinary woman, they rejoice knowing she is at peace in the arms of the God she loved with all her heart.

Margarita’s greatest devotion was to the Lord. She loved God more deeply than any person could, and her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life. She lived each day as an example of Christ’s love, sharing His grace, hope, and compassion with everyone she encountered. Through her words, her prayers, and the way she lived, she instilled that same love for God and faith in her children, grandchildren, and all those blessed to know her.

She was the cherished matriarch of a large and loving family. Strong, vibrant, and full of life, Margarita had a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy wherever she went. She told some of the funniest jokes and laughed with all. Her laughter was contagious. People gravitated to her because of her sense of humor but stayed to hear her wonderful stories about a beautiful childhood and her life growing up in a rancho. Her stories included proud testaments of her own hard work experiences, such as her job as a window designer at Kress or her job at Farmers Dairies as a successful public relations professional. Margarita was a great story teller, you could never get enough. Even her meals were described in great detail.

She had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and valued. She was revered and deeply respected by her family and friends, who looked to her for guidance and encouragement.

Margarita’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, and selfless devotion to her family. Though her presence will be greatly missed, the values she lived by and the love she shared will continue to guide future generations.

In her later years Margarita was not affluent with the riches of this world, she lived her life modestly. What she did gift us was a treasure unlike any diamonds or pearls. She left us wisdom and life lessons, beautiful memories and songs of joy that will make anyone burst out in chorus with her.

Margarita favorite activity was to read her bible. She could recite many of her favorite passages by memory. One of Margarita’s favorite passages of Scripture was Psalm 91, a beautiful reminder of the peace and protection she found in God throughout her life:

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”

Mague as she was known to many, is preceded in death by her father, Francisco Lopez and mother Avelina Romero López, 11 siblings: Regina López Rivera, Ramon Lopez, Socorro Lopez, Carolina Lopez Velasquez Mena, Pilar Lopez Guerrero, Jesusita Lopez Leyva, Refugio Lopez, Julio Lopez, Francisco (Kiko) Lopez, Carmen Lopez Gonzalez and Ignacia Lopez DeAnda, and a beautiful baby boy, Joseph Jaime.

Margarita is also lovingly survived by her younger brother Rafa Lopez (Yolanda Lopez) and her five Children Mary Yvonne Reta, Linda J. Mora (Javier Mora) , Peter Michael Jaime, Evelyn Joy Martinez (Richard Martinez) and Lisa LaHut (Tom Lahut), and 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory and continue the legacy of faith and love she so faithfully lived.
