Maria “Conchita” Villanueva, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. Maria is preceded in death by her father: Aristeo Garcia and her husband: Jose Acosta. She is survived by her mother: Margarita Najera, her children: Maria Consuelo Villanueva, Joe Acosta (Shaleen), and Christopher Acosta (Nettie), her siblings: Candelaria Najera, Irma Najera, Rodrigo Najera, Pablo Najera, Carlos Najera, Jose Luis Najera, her grandchildren: Rosario Rodriguez, Abraham Rodriguez Jr. Valeria Rodriguez, Juanita Rodriguez, Joe Dante Acosta, October Acosta, Lucas Acosta, and Christopher Acosta Jr., as well as her 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with a Rosary to commence at 6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way. A Graveside Service will follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery, 3061 Mem Pines Rd, Sunland Park, NM 88063
