Maria Elena Gonzales

Maria Elena Gonzales, 79, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Maria was born in El Paso, Texas on January 16, 1946. She married the love of her life Ruben Gonzales Sr. at the age of 18. They remained married together all their lives and lived in El Paso.

Maria worked at Farrah Clothing Manufacturer. She then became a fulltime house wife. Maria did what she loved by caring for her family. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, seeing her family, and movies.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband; Ruben Gonzales Sr., parents; Eustacio Aguilar and Juana Salas, brother; Jesus Aguilar, sister-in-law; Rosa Aguilar, and son-in-law; Renee C. Laperal.

She leaves behind her daughters; Mary Diane Gonzales, Eva Laperal-Gonzales, sons; Ruben Gonzales Jr. and Sam Lazaro Gonzales, daughter-in-laws; Florentina Ramirez, and Natalia Morales, grandchildren; Brittney Janet Gonzales, Samuel R. R. Gonzales, and Michael Muriel, great grandchildren; Leon Alexander Sanchez and Lizbeth Stella Sanchez.

Visitation will be held from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 30, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina. Interment will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
