Maria de la Luz Garay

Maria de la Luz Garay, 86, from El Paso, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2018. She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a loving, devoted, and faithful wife, mother and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband Carlos V. Garay. She is survived by her children, Carlos (Maria), Olivia (Joel) Wright, Javier (Leticia), Oscar (Lily), Jamie (Aide), Maribel (Randy) Luna and Betty (Doug) Elton from Springfield, Oregon, her brothers, Rogelio and Elpidio Lozoya and spouses, her sister, Petra Jones and her nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. We would like to express special appreciation to the wonderful staff at Oasis Nursing Home. She will be missed dearly until we all meet again. A Visitation Service will be held on, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary/ Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Homes- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
