MARIA ALICIA GUZMAN GARZA passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the age of 82. She was a lifelong resident of Smeltertown and Buena Vista. She was retired from Civil Service after many years. She was a loving, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Garza Chacon, her sisters Lorenza Guzman, Josefina Guzman, Bertha Futch and her pride and joy her grandchildren Moises Chacon, Adam Chacon and great-grandchildren Jacob, Audrey. and Marissa. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Rite of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 9:00AM at Santa Teresita Catholic Church, 3401 Zapal. Interment will follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery in Sunland Park, NM.
