Maria Cruz Hernandez

Maria Cruz (Aguilera) Hernandez, age 91, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 5, 2022. Maria was born in 1931; a resident of Canutillo, TX for 50 years and a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She was part of a large family of 10 children, five brothers and five sisters. Maria was the eldest of the siblings. She was a wonderful and caring daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother; and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind a large void in the Aguilera and Hernandez families. Maria is preceded in death by her parents; Teodoro Aguilera and Cevera Miranda Aguilera; her loving husband; Saul R. Hernandez; and her brothers; Manuel Aguilera, Felipe Aguilera, Raul Aguilera, and Abel Aguilera. She is survived by her loving children; David P. Hernandez (Karen) and Jacqueline B. Hernandez; her siblings; Maria Estela Lozano, Juan Aguilera, Alicia A. Sayas, Yolanda A. Hutchinson and Carmen Aguilera Goerner; and her beloved grandchildren; Sean Hernandez and Katelyn Hernandez. She is also survived by many extended Aguilera and Hernandez family members and friends that will continue to cherish, honor, and remember all their wonderful memories of her.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, August 22, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home West with a Holy Rosary starting at 6:30 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday August 23, 2022 at St. Francis de Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan Dr. El Paso, TX 79932.  Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday August 23, 2022 at Ft.
