Maria Natividad Medel

Maria Natividad V. Medel, age 76 beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed from this earth to be with our lord on February 11, 2007; at her bedside were her (brother) Francisco Vasquez and her (sister) Florencia V. Brown. Ms Medal was born in El Paso, TX; she was a former resident of Smelter Town. She retired from Levi’s Strauss in 1995, after 33yrs as sewing machine operator. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan. Ms. Medel is preceded in death by her father Natividad Vasquez, mother Maria C. Limon-Vasquez, husband Jesus Medel, sister Maria de Jesus Byington, and niece Zulema Vasquez. Ms. Medel is survived by her brothers Antonio Vasquez and Francisco Vasquez (wife Manuela) and sisters Florencia V. Brown and Estella V. Flores (husband Manuel). Other survivors are her 13 nieces and 13 nephews, 13 cousins and her aunt Teofila Palacios. Visitations will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with Vigil Services at 7 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2007 at Saint Patrick Cathedral Church.
