Maria Portillo

Maria Portillo, age 70, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Maria is preceded in death by her dear parents; Ramon Garcia and Rita Cabrera; and her brothers; Danny Garcia and Jerry Garcia. She is survived by her loving husband; Juan Agustin Portillo; her wonderful sister; Beatrice Reyna; her dearest daughters; Maria Arellano (Alfredo), Mirna Aguirre (Cosme) and Juanita Rodriguez (Ruben); her beloved grandchildren; Audrey Hernandez, Marissa Arellano, Ruben Andrew Rodriguez, Adrian Hernandez, Stephanie Rodriguez, Freddy Arellano, Christian Arellano and Johnathan Rodriguez; and her great grandchildren; Carissa Carmichael, Mya Carmichael, Eli Morales and Santino Arellano. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home- West. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere St., El Paso, Texas 79912. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
