Maria Antonia Renteria

Maria Antonia Gomez-Renteria entered eternal rest on February 17, 2016. “Toni” was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 39 years David Renteria; her children: Joshua Renteria, Mark Renteria, Rebecca Renteria, Moses Renteria; 8 beautiful grandchildren: Isaac, Angel, Sarah, Julie, Noelle, Zephyr, Emmie Rose and Mya; and her brother: Ricardo Gomez Jr. Toni was a retiree of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she was an employee for over 25 years. Toni was an all-star athlete excelling in basketball and volleyball during her high school years. That love for sports carried on later in life, as a referee for numerous basketball and volleyball leagues. Toni was well respected by her colleagues and a great friend to all who knew her. Toni was always devoted to her family and sacrificed so much for them. The support and tenderness she bestowed on her family was unimaginable and eternal. She surpassed the title of mom, grandmother, wife and sister, she’s now our guardian angel. Toni’s love and sacrifices will never be forgotten and her spirit will live on through us. We will see you again. Visitation on Tuesday, February 23,2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West.
