Maria Teresa Camacho

Our beloved mother, Maria Teresa Camacho (88 years old) was called home by our Lord and Savior on December 8, 2024. Maria was surrounded in love by her daughters at the time of her passing. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Lynda Camacho, Sandi Morgas, Ruby Rivera (Rick) and Becky Valtierra (Bobby); grandchildren: Nathan Ramos, Christopher Valtierra (Nathalie), Alexis Valtierra, Lauren Rivera, Hannah Camacho-Pate, and Alyssa Rivera; great-grandchildren who fondly knew her as Gigi: Jacob Ramos, Mason Marrero and Mila Valtierra. She will also be missed by her sisters, Lupe Anaya (Richard) and Socorro Murga; her brothers Leo Munoz, Jr., Jose Gallegos and Hector Munoz (Julie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her late husband Pedro Camacho; parents Leo and Francisca Munoz; siblings Victor Munoz (Becky), Roberto Rodriguez, Mary Lozano, and her beloved grandson Joshua Ramos. Maria was known for her unwavering dedication to her faith and was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, where she served as a member of the altar society. Maria also volunteered at WBAMC and at the Benavidez-Patterson 82nd Airborne Chapter. Maria was a graduate of Bowie High School and was an avid Bowie Bear. She will be remembered for her love of dancing. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. Rosary at 12:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4805 Byron Street, El Paso, TX 79930 on December 27, 2024. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Road, El Paso, TX 79906. The family would like to thank Marianne and Rocio with Coral Hills Foster Home and Three Oaks Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Maria during her time with them.
