Maria Torres

Maria Torres went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 23rd. She is preceded in death by her husband, WWII Veteran Gilberto G. Torres and her daughter, Lorraine Torres. She leaves behind 3 daughters and 3 sons, Lupe Nichols (Mark), Gilbert R. Torres, Pablo Torres, Ruth Torres, Daniel Torres (Mina), and Rachel Torres (Jorge). She also leaves behind 17 grand-children, 12 great grand-children, and 1 great great grand-child. Pallbearers are her grand-sons, Tim McGovern, Peter McGovern, Alex Nichols, Matthew Novacek, Joshua Torres, Anthony Torres, and Jacob Torres. Honorary pallbearers are sons in law, Mark Nichols and Jorge Rivera. She will always be in our hearts and will be dearly missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and loyalty. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will begin at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
