Maria R. Wood, 84, was born in Mexico on July 3rd 1934 to Bacilio Olivas and Leonor Hinojosa. She passed away on July 2nd 2018 in El Paso, Texas. Maria was proceeded in life by her husband Jesse H. Wood and her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons Jesus and Bacilio Olivas, her daughter Maria Del Refugio Salazar, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and extended family. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. with a Vigil/Rosary starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 8th 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass with be held at 10 a.m. on Monday July 9th 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9025 Diana Dr. Committal Service will follow at 11 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
