Marie Adele Hyde

Marie Adele Hyde, 89, Marie Adele Hyde was born in Cisco, Texas, on Oct. 25, 1926, to Charles and Glennie Jameson. Marie lived with her mother and grandmother in Coleman, Texas, until she graduated from high school. Marie received her bachelor of arts degree from University of Texas, Austin, TX. and her master of education from Texas Tech, Lubbock, TX. Marie taught and was an administrator in the Texas public schools from 1948 through 1988. After retiring from EPISD in 1988 where she was principal of Zach White School she worked part-time at UTEP for 11 years supervising student teachers in several public schools in the El Paso area. Maries’ children are Bill Galloway of Chaparral, NM, Aaron Pedraza of Chaparral NM and Charles Pedraza (Stephanie) of Chaparral NM. She has eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Marie married another EPISD teacher, John E. Hyde, in 1976. She became a widow when John died of cancer in 2006. Maries’ stepchildren are Billy Hyde of San Antonio, TX (deceased), Darla Martin of Abilene, TX, Judge John G. Hyde of Midland, TX (deceased). Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with Reflections at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 9:00am on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service to follow at 10:30am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
