Marita A. Owens

Marita A. Owens, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 3, 2025, in El Paso, Texas. Born on September 30, 1940, in Marshalltown City, Iowa, Marita brought warmth and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Marita is survived by her devoted children, Teresa A. Owens, Roger Owens, and Rick Owens, who will forever cherish the love and support she provided them throughout their lives. Her legacy continues through her three grandchildren: Christen, Amanda, and Andrew, who will carry her spirit and values into the future. Marita is also survived by her brother, Gus Puth, and her sister, Kay Breitbah, who shared countless memories of family gatherings and joyful moments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther Puth and August Puth, who instilled in her the virtues of compassion and integrity, shaping her into the remarkable woman she became.

Marita’s life will be celebrated with visitation on December 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast, located at 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX. The following day, a service will be held at the same location, starting at 9:30 AM, with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery at 10:30 AM.

Marita A. Owens will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
