Mark Clinton Thomasson, 57, passed away on November 2, 2013 after suffering from a stroke. Mark was born on June 27, 1956. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, 1977, and a M.S. in Health Care Administration from Trinity University , 1995. Mark worked in health care since 1977. He was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Sierra-Providence Health Network and worked at Miami Children’s and Hermann-Memorial in Houston. He was involved for many years with softball and coached summer teams with Franklin High School. He enjoyed bar-b-queing and considered himself a pit master, including making the perfect sauce. He was an avid golfer and player of fantasy football. A loving husband and father, Mark and his wife Pam celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary June 25, 2013. Mark is survived by his wife Pamela Measures Thomasson, daughter Mallory Ann, mother Martha Brown, father Don Thomasson, sister Sheryl Thomasson, brother David Brown and his dog Chloe. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a memorial service at 7:00 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home-West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Junior League of El Paso Endowment Fund.
