Marlene B. Gaylord

Marlene B. Gaylord was born to Kenneth and Irene Bishop in Pittsfield, MA on September 25, 1933. She attended the Pittsfield Public Schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1951. She married Austin P. Gaylord on January 31, 1953. Mrs. Gaylord worked in many different business positions over the years including real estate, personnel, sales, and nursing home social services. Mrs. Gaylord was very involved in the music world. She started barbershop choruses in Pittsfield, MA, Tucson, AZ, and Las Cruces, NM. In addition to directing, she also participated as a member of a number of quartets. Mrs. Gaylord is survived by her husband of 54 years, Austin P. Gaylord, her daughter, Susan Telehany (Charles), and three grandchildren, Katherine Telehany, Melanie Williamson and Jamie Delaney.
