Martha Ann Serrao

Martha Ann Serrao, lovingly known as "The Burg," entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the age of 74. Martha lived a life full of love, strength, and compassion. An amazing mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Martha was a proud and dedicated Registered Nurse whose healing touch and comforting presence made a lasting impact on countless lives throughout her career. She poured her heart into caring for others, always offering a gentle hand, listening ear, and unwavering support. Her deep empathy and tireless work in the medical field were a testament to the kind of person she was-selfless, nurturing, and strong.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Mariano Varela and Virginia Forti, her brother: Mariano Varela "Butch", and her sister: Ginger Varela. She is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Ann Blair, Aurelia Jenny Seanez and Michelle Elaine Blair, her son-in-law: Oscar David Seanez and her brother: Joseph Varela, and her grandchildren: Nicolette Ann Blair, Devyn Jude Santaella, Magni Hagen Santaella, and Oscar David Seanez II. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, as well as many dear friends whose lives she touched deeply.

Martha had a generous heart, a sharp wit, and a fierce love for her family and a smoke. Her home was always a place of warmth and laughter.

Her memory will be treasured forever.
