Marvin Clay Barber, Jr., age 73, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 10, 2025 in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and will be dearly missed. Marvin was a Corporal in the United States Army and a combat veteran of the war in Vietnam. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents: Marvin Clay Barber, Sr. and Tommie Barber, as well as his sisters: Linda Carol Curl, Frances Glover, Janette Russell, and Ester Holt. He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Frances Earline Barber; his children: Stacey Lyn Herrin (George), Marvin Clay Barber, III (Melissa), Amy Gayle Barber, Paula Margaret Gericke (Keith), Joshua Berry Barber (Casey), Kevin Andrew Barber (Keri), Sara Rena Barber, and Jonathan Dean Porter; his siblings: Jimmy Barber, Robert Barber, Karl Barber, Michael Paul Barber, Nancy Neyman, Kathy Smith, and Elizabeth Bohannon, 15 grandchildren, as well as 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.
