Mary R. Vallejo

MARY R. VALLEJO entered into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 87. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and will be greatly missed. She was a proud graduate of Austin High School class of ‘49 and International Business College. She was a longtime bookkeeper and secretary serving in different capacities when she was employed by Farrah Manufacturing Co.,Texas Rehabilitation Commission, American National Insurance Co., and later Cappettos Italian Restaurant. She was dedicated and devoted to her Catholic Faith where she served as a Catechist and Eucharistic Minister first at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church then at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Elisa Rosillo and her son Daniel Vallejo. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Santos R. “Joe” Vallejo, her beloved children; Richard Vallejo and his wife Pauline, Edward Vallejo, Yvonne Davis and her husband Edward Davis, her siblings; Carmen Ortiz, Olga Jordan, Richard Rosillo, her beloved grandchildren; Ryan Vallejo (Samantha), Mark Vallejo, Vanessa Smith (Chris), John Richard Vallejo, Jaunell Mata (Danny), Tawny Davis, Thaddeus Davis, great-grandchildren; Aleda Vallejo, Sienna Vallejo, Ava Smith, Quinn Smith. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1575 Belvidere. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00PM.
