Maura Estella Ahumada 11-19-06 Born January 15, 1931 in El Paso, TX. After 35 years of dedicated service she retired from the City of El Paso –Public Inspection Department. EL Paso High School Graduate, Real Estate Licensee, Life Time Member of The University of Texas’ Women’s Auxiliary, Parishioner of St. Stephens & Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Committed to her family and community, raised her five children and cared for many more. She was a loving, caring, dedicated, proud, strong and generous woman. Served as a mentor who enlightened the lives of many people and loved her family unconditionally. She was a guiding light and a beacon for her family. A social butterfly…she enjoyed music, dancing and a good laugh, a woman who could tell many stories of her many experiences in life, a woman well spoken and well traveled. The future generations of “Stella’s” family now carry the torch but, her legacy, enthusiasm and spirit continues. Descendant of Mauro Claudio & Genevieve Claudio-Harper. Surviving Family, Siblings: Antonio Claudio, Ernestina Schmidt-Claudio. Loving Children: Estella Yvonne Rorer-Ahumada, Georgina Dolores Page-Ahumada, Jorge Humberto Ahumada Jr., Albert Ahumada, and Michael Ernesto Ahumada. Grandchildren: Yvonne Landers, Amanda Ruvalcaba, Gabriela Enriquez, Jamel Enriquez, Ronald Roy Page Jr., Azelia Quirino, Alejandro Ahumada, Adrian Ahumada, Larisa Ahumada, Albert N. Ahumada, Andrew Ahumada, Kristen Ahumada, Elizabeth Ahumada. Great Grandchildren: Steven Ruvalcaba, Ryann Ruvalcaba, Ethan Landers, Hannah Landers, Ben I. Page, Yasmin Quirino and Christian Quirino. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a vigil at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
