Michael Martinez

Michael Martinez, 65, entered eternal rest on September 15, 2026, in El Paso, TX. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ramon E. Martinez and Otilia Martinez.

Michael will be remembered for his kind spirit, generous heart, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making people feel comfortable, welcome, and at ease. His laughter and the joy he shared with others will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Michael was always there for his family, ready to lend a helping hand, offer support, or simply be present when he was needed. His family could always count on him, and his love and devotion will forever remain a part of their lives.

Michael found happiness in the things he loved most. He enjoyed traveling to NASCAR races and football games, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. He cherished spending time with his long-time childhood friends from the Cooley neighborhood. He was also a true pit BBQ master, known for making the best smoked brisket and ribs. His barbecue was more than just food; it was a way of bringing people together, and made special with the stories that were shared, and the laughter that filled the room.

Michael leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his wife, Graciela Martinez; his sons, Michael Ray Martinez and Steven Seth Martinez; his sister, Diana Rusk; and his brothers, Ray Martinez and Eddie Martinez. He was also a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews, who will carry with them the memories and treasured moments they shared with him.

Michael was deeply loved, and his absence will be felt in countless ways, in the laughter he brought, the meals he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of his caring heart, benevolent spirit, humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends will live on in all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 28, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. Funeral Mass at 10: 00 AM on  Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 10:00am on at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 131 S Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79907.
