Michael A. Williams

Michael A. Williams, born October 14, 1957 in New Kensington, PA passed away December 23, 2013 in El Paso, TX. Michael was the second child of Bobbie and Mildred Williams. He attended elementary school in Ohio and graduated from Parkland High School in 1973, El Paso. Michael then received a full scholarship from the University of New Mexico, where he became a legend playing football for the New Mexico Lobos. Michael achieved numerous awards to include having his jersey retired, hall of fame and then being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 1979, where he played for four years (#40 and #83). Michael returned to El Paso to help his brother Morris build what is now known has Mo’z BBQ. Michael was preceded in death by his father and sister. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter Aisha Williams; grandson DeJohn; mother Mildred Williams; brothers Mark, Morris and Marvin Williams; nieces, Haily Aspen Williams and Max Williams; nephew Gage Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Home Going Celebration will be held at 10:00am, Monday, December 30, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3400 Wyoming Ave. Repast to follow at Mo’z BBQ, 5019 Alabama.
