Michele P. Quinn – Born September 27, 1957 and died too soon on August 15, 2026.Michele was born in Neptune, NJ and raised in Spring Lake, NJ. She was a graduate of St. Catharine School, Spring Lake, NJ, St. Rose High School, Belmar, NJ, Quincy University, Quincy, IL, and earned a Master of Arts at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO. At Quincy, Michele was a varsity athlete competing in both tennis and basketball. She competed against the then-Soviet National Basketball Team while at Quincy, and was inducted into the University Athletics’ Hall of Fame in 1989.
Michele began her distinguished career in manufacturing with M&Q Plastic Products, as Director of M&Q Texas leading the manufacturing plants in El Paso and San Antonio. Michele was the “fun” Quinn. She loved her family, friends, and everyone she met. She had an adventurous spirit with sparkling blue eyes and that beautiful big smile. In addition to basketball and tennis, she was a white-water rafter and guide, leading rafters on the Kennebec, Dead, and Penobscot Rivers in Maine. She also rafted white water rivers in Africa, Chile, China, and Turkey. Around the world she was known to visit casinos, and during her road trips in the US, she acquired a record number of speeding tickets (but never admitted to any). She snow-skied, parasailed, loved swimming in the Atlantic Ocean at her favorite Brighton beach, and traveling the world making close friends everywhere. Michele qualified for a pilot’s license and flew intrepid family and friends over El Paso’s deserts and the coastline of the Jersey shore. You name it and the “fun” Quinn did it in style.
