Mildred K. Foster

Mildred “Millie” Foster, 83, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2014. She passed peacefully in the company of her family at the Hospice of El Paso, Center for Compassionate Care. She was born in Greenway, AR on May 27, 1931. She and her husband, James, moved to El Paso in 1971 and decided to call it home following his retirement from the Army in 1976. Millie was always an active member of the Southern Baptist church, loved being with friends and family, camping and RV-ing and was known for her beautiful voice – she loved to sing and play the piano. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Foster; daughters, Jamie Engelhardt and Tarra Barnes; grandchildren, Angela Parsons and Garrett Barnes; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Borgo and Frank James Parsons and her brothers Jesse and Sig Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Glenn Hunter and two sisters, Veneal Ellis and Mary Langston. Graveside Service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the ALS Association: www.alsa.org.
