Modesto Ruiz

Modesto Ruiz, 84, passed away on December 11, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, & brother; Mr. Ruiz had a passion and love for horses, he was a horse trainer, and a champion rodeo rider. He is preceded in death by wife Lydia Ruiz, parents, brothers and sisters, son-in-laws; Robert Escobar, Augustin Augustain Jr., and Willie Collazo Jr. Mr. Ruiz is survived by son; Adrian Ruiz, daughter; Yolanda Escobar, grandchildren; Claudia Escobar (Johnny) & Robert Escobar Jr. and great grandchildren; Kimberly Escobar, John Escobar, Serenity Garcia and Brendon Garcia, several cousins, nephews and nieces. Special thanks to his doctors for their compassion and empathy; Dr. Jesus Alonzo, Dr. Franco, Dr Shahinian, Dr. Benitez & Medical Staff at Del Sol Medical Center, Hospice of El Paso, and to family and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery
